She was pilot who acrossed the Atlantic as fisrt woman.
Her childhood was unstable and pretty diffilcult but she had a high ideal and dream which was unconventional that time.She wanted to be a woman skipper. She built her company to earn money to accomplish her dream. Finally she bought Air plane and cut the hair ; at that time, most of women didn't cut their hair. She became idol and admiration woman to many of women. In June 3, 1928, she acrossed the Atlantic without navigation and radio among the 15 hours and she became legend. However, in June 2nd, 1937, she disappeared over the Pacific Ocean and she couldn't be found until now.

The reason why i choose this video when i was elementary school student, I've heard about this woman (but at that time I didn't know her name.), so i really impressed her and i wanted to be a person like her. She used to my idol and admiration woman. Also I watched this video again as an adult, an woman, I really moved to her brave and personality again. Fortunately nowadays many woman shows their strength and power. I want to be a person like that.

NPR: Forgiving Her Son's Killer: 'Not An Easy Thing'
(Mary Johnson, 59 Oshea Israel, 34)
*Video summary: When Israel was teenager, he involved with gang and drugs. One day night at a party, he fought into Laramiun and, killed him. Laramiun is Johnson's only son. So, Israel had to serve sentence for murdering. After he finished serving, they met at Stillwater Prison. Johnson didn't hurt and hit him, even she hugged him and forgived him. She thought, he is not teenager anymore; he is 34years now and if her son alives until now, her son is adult like him. Later she decide to treat him like her son also he consider Johnson to his real mom. Now, she wants to see his graduate and get married instead of her natural son.

*The reason I chose this video is that:
When I saw "Forgiving her son's killer' this title, I thought it was intersting. As you know, forgiving is so diffilcult to people. Besides murdering is so worst crime. However, this article says, one woman forgived her son's killer! It is unbelievable! So I really want to know about this woman and killer, I thought this article would be so amazing to me. so I chose this article.
